Hanes - CLWB PÊLDROED DYFFRYN NANTLLEMae CPD Dyffryn Nantlle yn un o glybiau hynaf yn y Gynghrair Cymreig. Mae pêl droed yn cael ei chwarae ym Mhenygroes ers y 1880au.Penygroes United oedd yr enw gwreiddiol ond newidwyd i CPD Dyffryn Nantlle ar gyfer tymor 1920/21 pan ymunodd y tîm a Chynghrair Arfordir Gogledd Cymru.Yn hwyrach ymunodd y tîm a Chynghrair Gwyrfai ac enillwyd y Bencampwriaeth yn 1924.Yn dilyn yr ail Ryfel Byd ymunodd y clwb a Chynghrair Bangor a’r Cylch,ac yn hwyrach daeth yn aelod o’r Gynghrair Cymreig.Enillwyd y Bencampwriaeth ddwy waith ac bu yn rownd derfynol o’r ‘North Wales Coast FA Amateur Cup’ a’r ‘Junior Cup’. Enillodd y clwb Cwpan Sialens yr Ail Adran.Yn 1959/60 enillodd y clwb Bencampwriaeth y Gogledd o’r Gynghrair Gymreig a’r Gwpan Cookson.Cafwyd hatrick yn y Gwpan Amatur yng nghanol y 1970au.Roedd enwau yr enwog Orig Williams ac Idris Evans(Tarw Nefyn)ar lyfrau’r dyfarnwyr yn aml yn ystod y 70au hwyr.

NANTLLE VALE FC - A BRIEF HISTORY   Nantlle Vale is one of the oldest ‘Welsh League’ clubs.Football has been played in Penygroes since the late 1880’s.The team was originally known as Penygroes United but became Nantlle Vale FC for the 1920/21 season where they joined the old North Wales Coast League.Later they became members of the Gwyrfai League,winning the Championship in 1924.Following the Second World War the club joined the Bangor & District League.Later they became members of the Welsh League.They twice won the Championship,and were finalists in the North Wales Coast F A Amateur Cup and the Junior Cup.The club also won the Second Division Challenge Cup.In 1959/60 the Vale won the double of the Welsh League North Championship and the Cookson Cup,they also gained  a hatrick of Amateur Cup wins in the mid 1970’s.Orig Williams and Idris Evans(Tarw Nefyn)dominated the referee’s notebook during the late ‘70’s
