FIXTURES ALTERNATIVES
Like everybody the Ardal Northern league officials cannot wait until we get back to playing football
The league is constantly looking at Government announcements with the hope that we can start the new FAW leagues
The season will be obviously a lot shorter with the playing of thirty games per team looking unlikely with no starting date on the horizon
We have looked at various ways of scheduling games including
- No cup games
- Play each other once
- Play each other once then split the league
- Spit the leagues into two
- Two games a week (only eleven of the thirty-two clubs have floodlights)
- Postponements
To get thirty league games in by May is looking highly unlikely
Big decisions will have to be made which will not be favorable to everybody
We (like everybody) cannot wait for the greenlight to start the season when it is safe to do so, in the meantime we looking for more ways to schedule the playing of league games
