In the Ardal Northern league cup Nantlle Vale, St Asaph, Kerry, Carno and progressed to the second round

After a goalless first half at Brickfield their leading goal scorer Andy Vale put them ahead against Nantlle Vale only for Vale to eqailise through Meth Jones, with no futher goals the tie went to penalties with Vale progressing to the next round

On Friday night the tie at Machynlleth finished all square after ninety minutes with Kerry going through four two on penalties

Also on Friday Caersws took an early lead at Welshpool, Neil Mitchell on target. Welshpool equalised through Richard Litchfield only for Mitchill to score his second and one from Luke Mumford

The only goal of the game at St Asaph scored by Andy Brooker after seventy one minutes saw them into the draw for the next round at the expense of Rhydymwyn

An entertaining game at Carno saw the home team win a five goal thriler against Penycae with Iwan Jarman scoring the decisive goal

Rhos Aelwyd are also in the hat for the round two draw after an emphatic six one win at Four Crosses, James Haynes led the way with a hatrick with James Rumsey, Tom Smith and Ed Neale also on target
