The Manager:  Andy Pryde: Manager – FAW/UEFA C Licensed Coach. Playing experience included spells with Coedpoeth, Brymbo, Brickfield & Chirk. Andy joined Chirk in May. He and assistant James Williams have been busy recruiting many new signings in the prolonged pre-season period, whilst also co-ordinating and running weekly training sessions along with Club coach Jack Ellis and Reserve Team Manager Mark Holmes.

Reserve Team Captain: Tom Roberts
Club Captain: Phil Pearce

Club Fact file: One of the oldest clubs in Wales having been formed in 1876. 5 times Welsh Cup Winners, 3 times Welsh Amateur Cup Winners, FAW Trophy Winners in 2017.

Thoughts on the restructure of the pyramid: Great opportunity to play against new opposition and of course a new gateway to Cymru North. Both Ardal North East & West look to be very competitive leagues and the play off option at season end will add that extra incentive to competing clubs.

Ambitions for the season: We would like to be challenging for promotion, but we realise that this new league is going to be very competitive with the likes of Cefn Albion, Berriew & Caersws all looking strong.

Thoughts on lockdown: Everyone at the club can’t wait to get going. There has been a lot of hard work, both on and off the pitch, gone in over the last 6 months and we look forward to the end of the lockdowns. The players have been training twice a week for most weeks and have got themselves in good shape but there’s nothing like a game and we keep our fingers crossed that there may be some light at the end of a long tunnel in the near future. Not sure how the league format will look this season if it does get going with the delay getting longer week by week and it is now looking more likely that the “normal” season will no longer be possible.
